Robotics for effective Waste Management
One of the topmost reasons for unfathomable waste in India and also majority of the world, is that there is no source segregation. Yes, our inability to segregate different types of waste, essentially doesn’t allow for effective waste management and entire dumps of waste keep piling on. As tech grads, the first thing we pivoted our energies on was robotics for auto-segregation of dry waste, such as paper, metal, plastic, rubber and the likes. We have designed a robot that could segregate dry waste into separate categories, so that each category can be managed effectively and something good can come out of waste. While working in the field of Waste Management, we realised the importance of Waste. It is only waste until it is not remodelled into value. Yes, Achhe Dinn provides upcycled, recycled and sustainable products, all from waste! In fact, through our platform ‘Achhe Dinn’ we also are incentivising people (they will earn online credits) to sell their scrap and waste online to us and in exchange buy the products they see online which are recycled or upcycled, thereby contributing to a circular economy.
Dry Waste Management
Our objective of optimizing dry waste is by making it reusable. We’re doing this in the following ways –
Our platform ‘Achche Din’ offers products made from discarded products by redesigning or modifying discarded products and dry waste.
We are also processing dry waste to come up with trending fashion products, such as jewellery and accessories from waste cloth, storage boxes and similar products from cardboard and handmade paper, incense sticks from floral and garland waste, tshirts from PET bottles, cushions and toys from waste cigarette butts, sandals from scrap rubber tyres and lots more.
There are so many nature-conscious companies manufacturing everyday use items like clothes, face and body care, organically in a zero-waste procedure. Multiple start ups have found alternatives to single-use plastic such as reusable sanitary pads, bamboo tooth brushes etc. Our platform offers such sustainable products too.
With this vision – Vision Zero we call it, we are aspiring to encourage people to sell their waste on our platform, where they will earn waste credits that they can redeem for the various products that we showcase on our platform. At Wastefull Insights we are hopeful that such a movement will encourage a circular economy, reduce waste and lead to increased sustainability in our environment. Come, be part of our journey and help us bring Achhe Dinn.. Achhe Dinn aayenge, hum aur tum milkar laayenge.
